The objective for Durabond was to celebrate their milestone 50th year by redesigning their online presence. The website would include their vast catalogue spanning over thousands of products and systems that would have to be easily navigated while having quick access to product specs and documents. Along with the website was a Contractors Guide, print collateral that would be used in conjunction with the website to showcase their product line up and details.
My role in the project was to create a site structure that would adhere to these targets and translate well to the digital space. My role was to ensure all deadlines were met with expected creative, with fully translated design from wireframing, to responsive design and finally prototyping. Including project management, it was important that I managed client expectation & delivered structured web ready files for developer hand-off.

Product Versatility
With such a broad spectrum of products & service offerings, we had to first develop key strategies that would help us deliver exactly what the client is looking for:
Wireframing
This was a key factor in ensuring that the vast information was displayed correctly and easily flowed from key pages to deeper information based pages.
Target Identification
It was important to first identify the type of user who would be using the information & in what context.
User Flow
Once the target profiles were explored, we had developed a user path which would act as a website blue print.
Product Understanding
Before we could deliver a working website, we had to first understand the products that were being sold & the value behind each offering.
Extending their product
focus through print
The Durabond Contractors Guide was designed as a 220 page booklet that spans across 8 main categories highlighting hundreds of products.
